The work of Board of visitors is to visit public and private mental health facilities in whole of province along with jails of whole of Sindh and wherever SMHA direct the board to visit.

So far board has visited 

The board of visitors visited following hospitals and recommended suggestions for the improvement and betterment  of the Intuitions:

Visit of  SIR COWASJEE JEHANGIR INSTITUTE OF PSYCHIATRY HYDERABAD., psychiatry wards at Sindh Government Qatar Hospital Orangi Town,  Sindh Government Children Hospital North Karachi, Lyari General Hospital Department of Psychiatry, Psychiatry Ward of Civil Hospital Karachi. Visit of Jinnah Hospital Psychiatry Ward

Further, due to Covid -19 the visits of Board of visitors are  now delayed. The Board of Visitors will visit all the mental hospitals in all over Sindh  and  Jails to identify Psychiatric inmate immediately after the stabilization of situation.

Sindh Mental Health Authority request to Health Department for renew notification of Board of Visitors which is in pending, as notification issues SMHA will must share the names of Board of Visitors.
